Rumi Maki, comes from the Quechua word meaning “Stone Hand.” It is said to be an Inca fighting style based on oral traditions. Rumi Maki was developed from various fighting techniques taken from the conquered rivals of the expanding Inca civilization. It involves attacking from different heights and using fists, elbows, kicks, and jumping techniques to neutralize the opponent.

Because the Inca did not have any form of written records the history of Rumi Maki relies primarily on oral accounts which are not particularly clear. But, it makes for a cool legend.
