Rumi Maki, translation “Stone Hand,” is a Peruvian Inca fighting style based on oral traditions, dating back to 2,300 BC. Rumi Maki was developed from various fighting techniques taken from the conquered rivals of the expanding Inca civilization. It involves attacking from different heights and using fists, elbows, kicks, and jumping techniques to neutralize the opponent.
Because the ancient Inca did have any form of written records the history of Rumi Maki relies primarily on oral accounts which are not particularly clear.
Language: Quechua
